Iranian Forces State Assault on US Base in Bahrain, As Part of Widespread Military Operations.

Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Bahrain, as the country executed missile attacks throughout the Middle East in retaliation for a "massive" and continuing assault against it by the United States and Israeli forces.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an area close to the main base of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any damage is uncertain and the American officials has yet to issue a statement.

Airspace Engagements

Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - all home to US military bases - reported they have engaged and destroyed missiles in their airspace.

In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence said it had intercepted several missiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.

IRGC Statement

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the offensive on Iran launched by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.

That US-Israeli operation - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far targeted locations associated with the Tehran's leadership, with US President Donald Trump encouraging the people of Iran to revolt against the government.

Additional Developments

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates announced that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems engaged the projectiles with high efficiency and destroyed a several projectiles," the statement continued.

It said debris fell on a populated district in the capital, resulting in some property damage and the death of one civilian.

The US Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
